The countdown to RebelCon 2020 is officially underway! Last week we hosted a launch event at REPUBLIC OF WORK in Cork city where we unveiled our new brand (with friendly racoon mascot) and announced details about this year’s event.

Dave Farley a thought-leader in the field of Continuous Delivery and co-author of the jolt-award winning book ‘Continuous Delivery’ anchored the launch with a truly inspirational talk on taking back software engineering and why we need to rethink how teams deliver products at different scale.

Meet our keynote speaker – Kelly Shortridge
We’re really EXCITED to announce that Kelly Shortridge will be keynoting this year’s conference. Kelly is based in NYC and is a thought leader in the field of cyber security and InfoSec. Kelly is currently VP of Product Strategy at Capsule8. Kelly is known for presenting at technology conferences internationally, including Black Hat USA and O’Reilly Velocity Conference.
A host of International Speakers & thought Leaders
BAFTA award winning video game designer Brenda Ramero will be anchoring the Rebel Track. As a designer, Brenda has worked on 47 games and contributed to many seminal titles, including the Wizardry and Jagged Alliance series and titles in the Ghost Recon, Dungeons & Dragons and Def Jam franchises. In 2015, she won the coveted Ambassador’s Award at the Game Developers Choice Awards. In 2014, she received a Fulbright award to study Ireland’s game industry, academic and government policies. In 2013, she was named one of the top 10 game developers by Gamasutra.com and Develop magazine listed her among the 25 people who changed games in 2013.
Matthew Skelton co-author of the book “Team Topologies” joins us from the UK and will be speaking as part of the Practical DevOps track.
Simon Whittaker, Cyber Security Director at Vertical Structure joins us from Northern Ireland and will be speaking ap part of the Cyber Security track.
