TechFoundHer at RebelCon: We’re Doing It Anyway

Women are building. They’re solving real problems, creating new products and using technology to do things differently — and they’re not waiting for permission.

At RebelCon, TechFoundHer will bring together an incredible group of women founders from Cork and across the island of Ireland for a conversation about what they’re building, the problems they have fallen in love with solving, and the rebel energy they are bringing to the way they build.

The old innovation playbook wasn’t written with enough women in the room. So women are increasingly writing their own.

At the heart of the conversation is a simple idea: you do not need to be a coder to be a tech founder. You need a strong problem, a clear vision and the ambition to build. AI and emerging technologies are changing the speed at which founders can move from idea to product and opening the door for more women to participate in building what comes next.

This is a conversation about women who are not waiting to be invited into innovation, waiting to feel technical enough or waiting for somebody else to lead the way.

We’re building. We’re doing it anyway.

The Conversation

This will be a short, fast-moving founder conversation focused on three simple questions:

  • What’s the problem you fell in love with solving — and why does it matter to you?
  • What are you building to solve it?
  • What’s the rebel energy you’re bringing to the way you’re building?

The aim is to hear the real founder stories behind the businesses: the problem, the solution and the attitude it takes to build something new.

About TechFoundHer

TechFoundHer exists to get more women creating tech products, starting tech companies and leading them.

We are for women with bold ambition, big ideas and problems they believe are worth solving. You do not need to be a coder, a techie or already see yourself as a founder. If you can see something that needs to exist, technology can increasingly give you the tools to start building it.

Through founder programmes, Build Clubs, events, practical frameworks, technical support and community, TechFoundHer helps women move from idea to prototype, from product to traction and from founder potential to founder credibility.

The talent is here. The ideas are here. The ambition is here.

Now we need a new innovation playbook — one with far more women building what comes next.

About WeBuild

That same belief is at the heart of WeBuild, the all-island programme delivered by TechFoundHer.

More than 50 women-led ventures across the island of Ireland have already been supported through WeBuild, helping founders turn ideas into technology-enabled businesses. Participants have developed products, secured funding, validated market opportunities and built business and investor networks.

WeBuild is designed for women founders who want to build, test and grow technology-enabled businesses. Through practical learning, mentoring, technical support and access to expert advice and networks, the programme helps founders move from ideas to viable products and scalable businesses.

The WeBuild programme is led by InterTradeIreland in partnership with Enterprise Ireland and Invest Northern Ireland, and is part of the Shared Island Enterprise Scheme, through the Shared Island Fund funded by the Government of Ireland.

Applications are now open for the next WeBuild cohort, which begins in January 2027. Applications close at 12 noon on Friday, 30 October 2026.
