Barry Stevenson

Barry Stevenson is a Senior Engineering Manager at Poppulo in Cork, Ireland, with 20 years of experience spanning software engineering and technology leadership. A 2006 Computer Science graduate of University College Cork (UCC), his career has taken him across banking, HR technology, cybersecurity and, most recently, data engineering and Generative AI.

With his experience split almost equally between hands-on software engineering and management, Barry brings both technical and leadership perspectives to his work. Over the past five and a half years at Poppulo, his focus has evolved from data engineering to Generative AI, where he has spent the last two years exploring and applying the technology to real-world challenges
