Alan Roche

Alan Roche is a senior software architect and engineering leader with extensive experience building large scale systems across cloud, edge and onpremise environments. He works across the practical application of architecture, delivery and emerging technologies, helping teams turn complex ideas into production ready solutions.

At Acuity, Alan focuses on AI-enabled platforms in digital commerce, and has previously led architecture and built AI systems for large scale cyber security platforms. He works across distributed systems, data pipelines and cloud-native technologies, applying AI in real engineering contexts from early experimentation through to production adoption.

He is particularly interested in how software engineering is evolving in response to AI, what changes, what remains constant and where engineering discipline continues to matter most.
